Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Institute of Statistical Studies and Research - Department of Computer and Information Science Summary: Ontology - based applications are increasing lately however ; each may use its ontology which requires an intelligent matching procrss that can align concepts in different ontologies automatically on semantic basis to facilitate interoperability . The purpose of this research is propose a framework that can align any number of ontologies , relaxing the synonym ( i.e. defferent names have the same meaning ) and ambiguity ( i.e. same names have different meaning ) which are the two big problems of semantic interoperability
