Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Microbiology and Immunology Summary: Various samples were randomly collected from the soil of different places in south Delta in Egypt . Strepomyces colonies a total of 105 isolates , were selected according to their morphological characteristics . Only , ten isolates showed antifungal activity against various strains of yeast and fungi . Maximum antifungal activity was detected in the cells of isolate no. N5 especially against Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans
