Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty Of Science - Department Of Inorganic Chemistry Summary: Complexes of Cu (II) - DHA and VO (II) - DHA are synthesized and characterizedBinary complex formation equilibria of DHA with some selected metal ions [Cu (II) , VO (II) , Ni (II) , Mn (II) , Zn (II) and Co (II) ] are investigatedStoichiometry and stability constants of the complexes formed between Cu (II) and DHA and various biologically relevant ligands (amino acids , peptides and DNA constituents) are investigated in 25in hundred (V / V) dioxane - water solution , at 25?C , and at constant ionic strength (01 M NaNO3) The results showed the formation of 1 : 1 : 1 complexes with amino acids and peptidesDNA constituents form both 1 : 1 : 1 and 1 : 1 : 2 complexesThe effect of dioxane proportion and the effect of temperature on the stability constants of Cu (II) with DHA are also studiedThe concentration distribution diagrams of the various species formed are evaluatedThe thermodynamic parameters (G , H and S) associated with deprotonation of DHA and its complex formation with Cu (II) are also determinedAlso the Stoichiometry and stability constants of dimethyltin (IV) (DMT) and trimethyltin (IV) (TMT) with DHA are established
