Cairo University SPARC (CUSPARC) is the first Egyptian processor, fully designed and tested in Egypt. It's an IP embedded processor core conforming to SPARC V8 standard. Verification of CUSPARC included detailed simulation prior to fabrication. Fabrication was, then, carried out at an IBM foundry via a grant from MOSIS
