Decreased hip muscle strength has been implicated as a contributing factor , yet the relationships between pain , hip muscle strength and function are not known . The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of adding strengthening hip abductors and lateral rotators to knee exercises program on pain intensity , function and hip abductors and hip lateral rotators ( eccentric and concentric ) torques in patients with PFPS
