The present investigation concerned with chemical analysis of the air dried flowering aerial parts of N. cataria revealed the presence of moisture (6.2%) ash (7.9%) crude fiber (15.57%) crude protein (9.13%) crude lipid (4.88%) and avalaible carbohydrate (62.5%) The phytochemical screening showed the presence of glycosides and / or carbohydrate tannins volatile oil flavonoids sterols and /or triterpens and traces of alkaloids
