Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Department of Microbiology Summary: By bacteriological examination of 736 samples collected from different types of chickens, turkeys and ducks, concluded 39.8% (293/736) were positive E.coli. The positive E.coli isolates are serotyped to O157, O26, O158, O44, O124, O125, O91, O111, O127, O119, O103, O164, O114, O88, O42 and O145 from different types of samples. Out of 293 samples of positive E.coli 28 samples were positive for E.coli O157 (9.6%) with high percent 11% from chickens and 7.3% from turkeys on the other hand there were no isolates from ducks for E.coli O157
