Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Department of Clinical Pathology Summary: This study was made to provide information about the different lesions which affect the thyroid glands of different animal species in Egypt. Histopathological examination and hormonal assay had been made. A variety of lesion were observed. These lesions included, goiter which was present in three forms, colloid goiter; which represented 28.8% in donkeys, 41.8% in cattle and 25% in dogs
