The present study aimed to throw light on the role of some insecticides i.e. organophosphorus, (triazophos) and synthetic pyrethroid, (deltamethrin) as well as non-steroidal ecdysone agonist, (methoxyfenozide) on the black cutworm, Agrotis ipsilon, the most severe pest in Egypt. This work aimed to evaluate the toxicological effects, biotic potential and some biological aspects of a convential organophosphorus and pyrethroid insecticides (triazophos and deltamethrin) as well as the new non-steroidal ecdysone agonist (methoxyfenozide) on the 4th instar larvae of agrotic ipsilon
