Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Cardiology Summary: The aim of the study is to evaluate the right ventricular functions by tissue doppler in cases of acute inferior myocardial infarction and to compare these functions pre and post PCI of the culprit artery. 40 patients were included in this study with 10 contrl healthy subjects, 2-D echo and TDI was done pre intervention and post PCI of the culprit artery and the study revealed rapid improvement of the RV functions shortly after PCI of the culprit artery, also this study showed a cut off point of 11.1 em/s as an indicatior of RV infarction
