In the event of cancer treatment , photothermal therapy has met successful cancer cells damage with highly reduced toxicity to normal cells . One of the most interesting nanoparticles that could have a revolution in the field of cancer photothermal therapy is gold nanoparticles This study introduces a new laser - induced thermal therapy employing systemically delivered NIR absorbing gold nanoparticles called gold nanoshells ( GNSs )
