Fractures of the proximal and distal tibial have traditionally been challenging for the treating orthopaedst . The short periarticular fracture segment and tenuous soft - tissue envelope has made internal fixation using traditional open approaches difficult and often fraught with complications . In this study we evaluated the use of minimally invasivepercutaneous plate osteosynthesis in management of non - articular proximal and distal tibial fractures
