The purposes of the present study were ( a ) to examine the strategies used by Gaza prep teachers and students in English reading classes at both public and private schools , ( b ) to compare between the views of Gaza public and private prep teachers and students on the English reading materials used , and ( c ) to assess Gaza public and private prep schools ninth graders' proficiency levels in English reading comprehension skills
