Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Mechanical Power Engineering Summary: In the present study , an engine cycle simulation for a DL diesel engine fuelled with five selected biofuels was investigated using the Diesel - RK software . It was carried out using two international biofuels ; soybean and rapeseed oils , and three local biofuels ; jatropha , jojoba and sunflower oils . A comparative theoretical investigation was conducted to evaluate the performance and exhaust emissions of a four - stroke , Mercedes - Benz DI diesel engine fuelled with 100 % blends of the five candidate biofuels
