Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Summary: This study was conducted to evaluate the protective efficacy of prolonged oral administration of green tea against gamma irradiation - induced biochemical changes in male rats using vitamin E as reference standard . To achieve the ultimate goal of this study male rats were given either green tea aqeous extract ( 300 mg / kg b. wt ) or vitamin E ( 40 mg / kg b. wt ) for 21 successive days before irradiation and 7 successive days post exposure ( 6.5 Gy single dose )
