This study is about gas flow simulations through microfabricated membranes in which aligned car - bon nanotubes with diameters of less than 2 nano - meters serve as pores . Direct simulation Monte Carlo method has raised the expectation that gas transport through carbon nanotubes should occur at much faster rates compared with the rate shown by conventional nanopores
