It includes a signal peptide, a variable region, and a conserved C-terminus (Steppan CM et al, 2004). Resistin circlates in human blood as a dimeric protein consisting of two 92-amino acid polypeptides that are linked by a disulfide bridge and forms high- and low-molecular weight complexes Koerner A, et al, 2005
