Knowledge of the relationship between late life depression (LLD) and cognitive functioning is advancing, but little is known about the cognitive response to treatment for late life depression. The purpose of this study was to examine the different cognitive functions in eldarly depressed patients and to compare them to age and education matched control subjects, both in a depressed state and 6 months later after the remission of depressive symptoms
