The aim of this study is to develop simplified empirical method to calculate drawdown inside excavated areas surrounded by square partially penetrating cutoff walls using partially penetrating well (s) in an unconfined aquifer . A parametric study more than 557 cases including variables that influence the dewatering system was carried out using the finite difference software VISUAL MODFLOW 4.2 ® to develop the proposed simplified method
