This work was conducted to study the mineralogical and goechemical characterizations of soils in East Rosetta area , River Nile , Egypt . The collected soil samples contaminted with heavy metals from domestic , industrial wastes and sewage sludge . Amendments of bentonite , silica - gel , kaolinite , dowex and barite were used to stabilize Pb , Cd and Ni to unavailable forms
