The objectives of this research project were to isolate endophytic fungi from medicinal plants and evaluate their secondary metabolites which may be useful lead compounds for pharmacutical use . A total of 132 endophytic fungi were isolated from 18 Egyptian medicinal plants collected from Saint Katherine Protectorate , Sinai , Egypt . They were identified on the basis of their morphological characteristics
