Paracetamol overdose causes severe hepatotoxicity that leads to liver failure in both humans and experimental animals. The present study was undertaken to investigate the protective effect of honey against paracetamol-induced hepatotoxicity in wistar albino rats. Silymarin served as a reference hepatoprotective drug. Hepatoprotective activity was assessed by measuring liver function tests such as the activities of serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and serum aspartate aminotransferase (AST) as well as histological examination of liver tissues
