Using platelet-rich plasma is a way to accelerate and enhance the body's natural wound healing and that nourishing a bone defect with calcium, with a large amount of activated platelets, may initiate series of biological processes that culminate in bone regeneration. The null hypothesis that it assists in initiating healing of periapical bony defects is warranted
