Patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) including those under-going regular hemodialysis (HD) have an exceptionally high incidence of cardiovascular disease owing to accelerated atherosclerosis related in part to abnormal lipid metabolism . Despite current availability of numerous new lipid - lowering agents there iss still uncertainty regarding their safety particularly in those requiring combination drug therapies
