Biomaterials such as PMMA, ceramics, hydroxyapatite... etc are relatively brittle and fracture easily which limit its characteristics in a lot of applications such as joint replacements, bone plates, dental implants for tooth fixation,... etc. In order to obtain high mechanical properties; the rubber nanoparticles have been chemically connected with the PMMA matrix to be well compatible via interfacial adhesion
