Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Tropical Medicine Summary: This study included 91 patients complaining of esophageal symptoms such as dysphagia / odynophagia , food impaction , abdominal pain and vomiting . Mid and low esophageal biopsies were taken and examined under HPF . Eosinophilic esophagitis was diagnosed by >/ = 15 eosinophils / HPF . Mean age of the participants was 43 years with a standard deviation of 9.9 years
