Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Agriculture - Department of Agricultural Biochemistry Summary: This work has been conducted to study the possibility of gamma irradiated fungi for degrading carbamate - insecticides and to investigate the effect of temperature , UV - rays (short waves 254 nm) , direct sunlight and pH degree on the stability and degradation of carbofuran and oxamyl . Two effective strains of Trichoderma spp. showed that the potentiality for degrading the carbamate - insecticides as a sole carbon and energy source in liquid media and soil samples
