Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Dental Public Health Summary: Objectives : To study the possible effects of the industrial environment in confectionery factory and flour mills on the oral cavity of workers in these factories and to assess the current oral health status and treatment needs among those workers . Results : In both groups the working years is positively correlated with the DMFT (p {u2220} 0.001)furthermore in the sweet factory workers there is a statistically significant positive correlation between working years and the increase of plaque index
