The HAIs constitute a serious problem in healtheare services as they are common causes of morbidity and mortality among hospitalized patients. Currently, between 5% and 10% of patients admitted to acute care hospitals acquire at least one infection. HAIs may be attributed to by host, microbial and environmental factors
