It arises before 16 years of age and lasts more than 6 months . During acute inflammation serum copper concentration increases and zinc decreases . This observation led to speculation on the possible pharmacological properties of these trace elements.The aime of this study was to measure the serum level of zinc and copper in patients with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) with different subtypes and correlate the levels of zinc and copper with the disease activity
