Suicide is one of the most common causes of death worldwide and bipolar disorder is associated with increased risk of suicidal behavior . From all affective disorders bipolar disorder carries the highest suicide rate . About one third to one half of bipolar patients attempt suicide at least once in their lifetime . Approximately 15 -20 % off bipolar patients die due suicide
