Studies have raised concerns that many proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) , especially ompeprazole might diminish the antiplatelet effects and the clinical effectiveness of clopidogrel . By contrast , a preliminary report of data from another trial did find an association between use of a PPI in combination with clopidogrel and an increased risk of adverse outcomes
