This study investigates the efficacy of certain Egyptian modified cotton genotypes; okraleaf, nectarliess, fregobracts and the normal cotton varieties; Giza (90,80,88 and 86) (Gossypium barabdense L.) on the ecological and biochemical activities of cotton leafworm, Spodoptera littoralis and the bollworm; Pectiophora gossypiella, Earias insulana and Helicoverpa armigera, and the changes in the population activity of the these pests during the two successive cotton growing seasons 2009 and 2010 at Qaha research station, Elqalyoubia governorate, Egypt
