Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Zoology Summary: In the present study the gross anatomy histology and histochemistry of the digestive system of two reptiles having different feeding habits a herbivorous reptile uromastyx aegyptiaca and an insectivores reptil chamaeleon africanus have been investigated . This study has revealed the following : In uromastyx aegyptiaca the straight oesophagus is lined with ciliated epithelium and goblet cells
