Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Orthopedic Surgery Summary: Loss of radial nerve function in the hand creates a significant disability . The patients cannot extend the fingers and thumb and has great difficulty in grasping objects . Perhaps more importantly , the loss of active wrist extension robs the patient of the mechanical advantage that writ extension provides for grasp and power grip. Tendon transfer using a single incision in its place can solve this proplems in short time
