This study compares between two and three dimensional modeling of deep excavations supported by cantilver diaphragm wells in cohesionless soil . The study considered mainly the effects of excavation geometry , wall lateral bending stiffness and soil density on estimated deflections and bending moments . Practical issues such as the effect of installation of capping beam and monolithic construction of diaphragm wall corners on three - dimensional behavior of walls were studied
