Preservatives are chemicals intentionally added to food in small quantities to prevent microbiological spoilage and chemical deterioration during storage of food products. However, the safety of the use of food preservatives is still obscure. This work aims to investigate untoward reactions of oral administration of different doses of certain food preservatives (Benzoic acid, Boric acid and Sodium nitrite) in rats
