Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is defined as a disease with onset before 16 years of age, primarily characterized by the presence of persistent arthritis in one or more joints, for at least six weeks, once other causes have been ruled out. The anti-CCP antibodies seem to be more useful in JIA than other investigated serological markers especially the polyarticular onset JIA for further prediction of joint damage and early treatment accordingly
