In the present work, pure iridium oxide IrO₂, ternary catalysts (IrSnSb-Oxides and RulrTi-Oxides) and single phase pure polycrystalline materials (Gold, Silver, Platinum and Palladium) were investigated for use as anode electrocatalysts in direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC). Investigations of methanol oxidation and hydrogen evolution over the catalysts were measured in sulphuric acid as a supportive electrolyte using cyclic voltammetry technique at room temperature 25{u00B0}C
