The scholarly field of positive psychological capital has given little attention to its antecedents or what enhances the positive capacities of self-efficacy, hope, optimism and resilience that make up the positive psychological capital. Using the job characteristics model (Hackman and Oldham, 1975) as a framework, this study examined the relationship between the five job characteristics and the four components of positive psychological capital
