Nasopharyngeal carcinoma ( NPC ) is rare in children , accounting for 1 % of pediatric malignancy . Treatment includes radiotherapy and chemotherapy which may help to decrease the radiotherapy dose and limit the side effects of local therapies . However , standard treatment for that rare cancer as regard optimal dose of radiotherapy and optimal timing of chemotherapy is still not established yet
