Well-differentiated thyroid cancer represent more than 90% of thyroid cancer. Risk assessment is the cornerstone of contemporary management of thyroid carcinoma. The optimal management for most patients diagnosed with thyroid cancer, either by fine needle aspiration or at the time of surgery, is total thyroidectomy followed by radioidine ablation of remmant thyroid tissue
