Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Civil Engineering Summary: One of the most common types of composits elements is the pre-slabs ; the most governing factor in design of sections of these elements is the shear transfer along the interface to achieve the composite action between the two layers . In this reseaech the behavior of one way composite pre- slabs was studied . An experimental program was carried out to test simply supported slabs which are composed of two layers with different distributions of shear connectors . All slabs were tested under different cases of loading
