Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science Department Physical Chemistry Summary: The layered LiMn{u2153}Ni{u2153}Co{u2153}O₂ cathode materials were synthesized by oxalate co-precipitation and sol-gel methods which are powerful, low cost and easy preparation methods for large scale production. Preliminary electrochemical results showed that sol-gel sample is better than co-precipitated one. With the aim to improve the properties of the co-precipitated sample we coated carbon and (Al, Zn, and Sn) oxides
