Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Botany Microbiology
Rice straw has been treated with different chemicals (alkali and acid) to co nvert lignocellulosic materials to reducing sugars . In addition enzyme hydrolysis of pretr eated samples has been applied to improve the conversion of lignocellu loses into ferm entable sugars . Sodium hydroxide at concentrations of 0.25N -2.5N was used
