Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Summary: The quinazoline moiety has been utilized extensively in medicinal chemistry and is considered to be a privileged structure that shows various pharamacological activities including antitumor activity. Therefore, we are considered with the synthesis of novel series of substituted spiro[2H, 3H)-quinazoline-2,1'-cyclohexane] with the objective of discovering novel antitumor agents having the ability of inhibiting poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase enzyme that has a vital role in developing resistance towards antitumor drugs and ionizing radiation
