Combined PET/CT using 18F-FDG is widely used in the evaluation of various malignancies; in their staging and follow up. in the detection and characterization of skeletal metastases in various primary malignancy groups, it proved high efficiency and improved accuracy compared to either PET or CT alone. comared to bone scan, PET/CT has much higher sensitivity and specificity in the diagnostic work up of skeletal metastases in various primary malignancies and especially in their follow up
