The aim of work in this thesis was to formulate Ciclopirox olamine (CPO), which is a broad spectrum antifungal agent and also has demonstrated broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and anti-inflammatory properties, into different topical dosage forms which is hydrogels, emulgels and microemulsion based hydrogels and compared them with the commercially available cream Batrafen® CPO was used in the previous bases at a concentration of 1% w/w
