This work aimed to study the percentage of CD134 (OX40) expression on CD4⁺ T-lymphocytes in the serum, to determine its role in the pathogenesis of SLE and lupus nephritis (LN) and the capability to use CD134 as a novel biomarker for early diagnosis of LN. Also, we correlated the CD134 levels with the serum cholesterol levels and carotid intima media thickness (CIMT), to determine its role in the pathogenesis of accelerated atherosclerosis in SLE and LN
