Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Neurosurgery Summary: The objective of this study was to compare between the usage of interbody fusion cages alone and with the addition of anterior cervical plate fixation in the management of multiple level cervical degenerative disc disease as regards clinical outcome, fusion rate and incidence of complications. 33 patients were divided into 2 groups, group A consisted of 19 patients who underwent anterior cervical discectomy and fusion using interbody fusion cages while group B underwent the same procedure with the addition of fixation by anterior cervical plate
